seems like im loving hip hop and rap right now, and a new album from KRS-One is good to hear. KRS-One is widely regarded as one of the best MC's of all time. dudes like 50 cent still rate him as their favourite ever, hes' been around for like 18 albums or some shit, which is pretty phenomenal in the rap world. check this track out, when you play it you actually listen to what he has to say and i love that.

CRYSTAL CASTLES

Vanished is one of my favourite songs on Crystal Castle’s album, when I was listening to it for the first time I thought the vocals sounded very familiar. Funny enough I found out it contains a vocal track sample and melody from Van She’s Sex City.

In 2006 Crystal Castles brought out Courtship Dating. Funny enough in 2007 Timbaland produced Ayo Technology for 50 cents album Curtis which sounds ridiculously similar in sound to Courtship Date, Check out the video above to see the similarities.

BMX BANDITS

The old school video above of the Bmx Bandits film doesn't really have anything to do with the Queensland pop band BMX, Although it's worth having a peak at, it's some pretty funny shit.



BMX kinda remind me of Gameboy / Gamegirl, but are no doubt different and have there own style with vocals you cant help but sing along to. Crookers Live @ Gatecrasher

Haven't posted a mix for a while so i thought i'd grab one that i thinks worth a download. It's hard to go past having a listen to a Crookers mix which was recorded live last month at a crazy event called Gatecrasher. This is a handful of artists who also played at the event; The Prodigy, Digitalism, Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, Tiga, Hot Chip, Audio Bullys, CSS, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, The Whip, The Chemical Brothers, Pendulum, Soulwax, Crystal Castles, Dizzee Rascal.

(Fun Fact) Gatecrashers is a 2 day event, 20 arenas, 20 live bands, 200 Djs, 60,000 people and 20,000 campers. I'm a bit jealous.
